Passion

Why do so many people settle? Settle for work. Settle for school. Settle in their faith. Settle in their dreams. Settle in life. Settle. What a horrible word. It’s like this: “I know there’s more and better things out there but I don’t feel like going through all the stress and pain to get there, so I’ll just sit here. I guess this is fine…”.

Ick. Honestly, it’s almost a wasted life-just going day to day with no passions or goals. Why not get the use of your life? Remember, you only have one (besides eternity in Paradise-or not-of course!). Why not enjoy it? Get a little adventurous. I wrote a bucket list when I was on outreach in Turkey & Russia-realized there’s almost too many things I wanna do in my life! But I strongly believe this is how we should live our life-with TOO many passions and dreams.

Not only am I talking bucket list goals like going skydiving or having a picnik at the Eiffel Tower, but let’s find our PASSIONS. Those little-and big- things that God has placed deep within in our souls, those God-ordained passions. What makes us cry? What makes us angry? What makes us leap for joy? These are the things we need to pay attention to.

I wanna do what I love until the day I die. None of this settling business for me. Romans 12:11-“Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord”.
